Since moving our event venue from the Marshall to the Hotel
New Yorker, we needed to provide all our own equipment this
year. Special mention and thanks to the good deals we got
on equipment this from 2 suppliers: the Chess Shop and the
Chess Forum in Greenwich Village.
Once again, we had a terrific turnout, but a few less players
than in previous years- due, I think, to a conflict with the
Nationals being held that same weekend. We won't do that again!
As always, the enthusiasm and the 'friendly chess' keeps strong
players and new kids coming back for more.
This annual event in Bruce's honor continues to grow and is
rapidly becoming a favorite in the NY chess world.
